Samsung Galaxy M20 | Samsung M20 Review

Samsung has launched two new smartphones in the M-Series which is an ultimate choice of mid-range smartphone i.e. Samsung M10 and the Samsung M20. The smartphone is no lesser than any other premium smartphone that is packed with exciting features and specifications such as face recognition, fingerprint scanner and a lot more.

Samsung M20

The Samsung M20 gets a polycarbonate body which undoubtedly feels good on hands, unlike the M10. Though M10 features a similar back material, it feels light on hands, but the M20 is heavier and does not feel that cheap. It has an oval fingerprint scanner placed in the centre back which is easy to reach. All the buttons are placed high above on the right side and for a people with small hands would find it difficult to reach the buttons. On the left side, there is a SIM tray with 2 Nano-SIM and a dedicated microSD card. And on the bottom, there is a speaker grill, a secondary microphone, USB C port and a headphone jack.

The display of the Galaxy M20 is a 6.3-inch with Full HD+ resolution. It is not Super AMOLED panel, it’s an LCD one which is still a good display. The display has rich colours, impressive viewing angles and also outdoor visibility. There is a notch on top which is named as an Infinity V display. Samsung has managed to deliver a good full view display here with a tiny notch and thin bezels.

The Samsung M20 is powered by Exynos 7904 processor along with 3GB/4GB of RAM. It is not a new chipset by any means, but at the same price range, you get Snapdragon 636 or the Snapdragon 660 which has a better GPU performance compared to 7904. There are no problems in multitasking and app opening is fast too. Games like Asphalt 9, PUGB is playable at medium settings with a few stutters here and there.

The Samsung M20 has a dual camera setup on the back having a 13MP primary lens with f/1.9 aperture paired with a 5MP secondary sensor with f/2.2 aperture. Here secondary lens is not a depth sensor, but a wide angle. The pictures are good actually with a good amount of details in good lighting. There is Live Focus mode which is also not bad, but you cannot adjust the blur or the focus area. The software does a fine job at detecting depth and edges to give a proper blur in pictures. The selfie camera has 8MP that has decent result in good light.

This phone sports a huge 5000mAh battery. The best part is that the M20 supports Samsung’s adaptive fast charging via USB Type-C and also brings along a 15W fast charger in the box.

Samsung M20 price in Nepal – Rs. 17,490 (3+32).
