Samsung has launched two new smartphones in the M-Series which is an ultimate choice of mid-range smartphone i.e. Samsung M10 and the Samsung M20. The smartphone is no lesser than any other premium smartphone that is packed with exciting features and specifications such as face recognition and a lot more.
The design of the
Samsung Galaxy M10 doesn’t looks so new. It looks cheap and feels the same in
hands, especially the speaker is mounted at the back which used to be featured
in very old Samsung phones. The back panel is made of polycarbonate with a
glossy finish and is curved on all sides. Unlike M20, there is no fingerprint
sensor, there is a speaker grill on the bottom left of the rear panel. The dual rear camera module with two
vertically-aligned sensors is placed at the top left with the LED flash below.
The volume rocker and the power button are placed on the right side and also
the buttons are tactile enough. The left side of the device houses the SIM card
tray, bottom has a USB 2.0 port and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The Samsung M10 has a 6.2-inch Infinity-V HD+ display not the AMOLED one. The colors pop beautifully and while it’s a TFT LCD panel, the viewing experience is still good enough. The outdoor visibility is bright and sharp, and the colours don’t lose much of their vividness. The waterdrop notch is unobtrusive in its size, and houses the selfie camera. Its display has a screen resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels with aspect ratio of 19:9 and pixel density is 270ppi.
The Samsung M10 is powered by Exynos 7870 processor along with 2GB/3GB or RAM. Even though the phone uses 7870 chipset which is around 3 years old, the performance is quite impressive. The frame rate isn’t that good actually, but games like Asphalt 9, PUGB is playable at lowest settings. Apps like Facebook, Instagram and YouTube runs smoothly.
It has a dual camera
of 13MP primary + 5MP secondary, here secondary lens is not a depth sensor, but
a wide angle. The shots are impressive in daylight, wide shots come out better
with more vivid color and less of a whitish effect. There is also a Live Focus
feature for taking portraits and without a depth sensor, the portraits are as expected.
The selfie camera housed in the display notch has a 5MP sensor f/2.0. There is
also a selfie portrait which is done by software and looks decent as well. In
terms of security, it does not have a fingerprint sensor. There is face
recognition but it doesn’t work in low-light and is very inconsistent.
This phone sports a 3400mAh battery that lasts an entire day. It doesn’t support fast charging technology.
Samsung M10 price in Nepal – Rs. 13,790.
