The OnePlus 7T is just a minor refresh when compared with to its predecessor, the OnePlus 7 Pro, but what’s new is that the 7T will be hitting the market with the latest Snapdragon 855+ Processor. Otherwise, the 7T picks up many of the features form the 7 Pro.
OnePlus has decided to stay ahead of the game with the new OnePlus 7T carrying the Snapdragon 855+, even though the phone itself is only just a minor upgrade from the previous phone. Not only is OnePlus 7T one of the first phone to carry a Snapdragon 855+, but it also had a major impact due to its budget-friendly price range.
The OnePlus 7t features are very similar to the 7 Pro, but is completely different design wise.
The specifications for the 7T are as 74.4mm x 8.1mm x 160.9mm for the width, weight and height respectively. The phone weighs around 190 grams. OnePlus decided to go with a notch design for the 7T with a bezel-less display. The notch in the front contains the standard front camera and some sensors and speaker. The rear cameras are set up horizontally in the middle incased in a circular camera bump, which also contains a flash below the triple camera array.
The power button is on the right side and the volume keys are on the left of the phone as usual. The SIM tray also resides on the right side of the phone just above the volume keys. On the bottom are the loudspeakers and a Type-C port and headphone jack.
The OnePlus 7T has a metal back so it does not support wireless charging. The back of the phone has a slight glossy and comes in a Frosted Silver and Glacier Blue.
Display on OnePlus 7T
OnePlus has decided to incorporate a Fluid AMOLED displays in the 7T Pro. The phone still has the Fluid AMOLED display which has the pixel density at about 402 ppi. The aspect ratio is at about 20:9. On the top of the display there exists a notch which houses a standard front camera. OnePlus being one of the flagship killer company that it is, decide not to ditch the notch, meaning the OnePlus 7T does have a notch for the front camera and also the speakers.
The screen size is very large which is a 6.55 inches screen and the screen resolution is 1080 x 2400 pixels. The size covered by the screen in front of the phone is at about 88.3%.
The screen is protected with a Corning Gorilla Glass 5. One of the newest additions to the display is the in-display fingerprint sensor which senses fingerprints by shining light on the display.
Camera on OnePlus 7T
The major change that the OnePlus has decided to add in the new 7T is for the rear camera. The rear camera sports a triple-camera lens setup which is set up horizontally in the middle in the back incased in a circular camera bump kind of like a Motorola phone.
The main camera sensor is a Exmor-RS. The main camera is a combo of a one F1.6 48 MP wide lens, an F2.4 12 MP telephoto lens with a 2x optical zoom and a F2.2 16 MP ultrawide lens with Autofocus which is said to capture much wider shots. Two of the lenses have PDAF and optical image stabilization and 16 MP lens has a standard AF. The image resolutions produced from this camera is 8000 x 6000 pixels. The rear camera can shoot videos at 2160p@30/60fps, 1080p@30/60/240fps, 720p@960fps with Auto HDR and gyro-EIS.
The Front camera is in front of the display incases in a tear-drop style notch. The front camera is an F2.0 16 MP wide lens camera. The lens has Auto-HDR. It can shoot videos up to 1080p at 30fps with gyro-EIS.

In conclusion, OnePlus 7T can be considered one of the best flagship killers without a doubt ant is capable of competing with higher-end phones like the Samsung and the Pixel. OnePlus has managed to stay above the curve with the new 7T. 7T is not the biggest leap in terms of an upgrade, the features are quite similar to the previous phones. So, there is no need to upgrade your phone to 7T if you already carry a 7 or a 7 Pro.
