Apple has released its new line for the iPhone simply named as iPhone 11. Apple has decided to go with same design as the previous phone the infamous iPhone X, with only a minor change here and there. The new iPhone too, sports a big notch in the top-front of the display same as the iPhone X, same speaker grills and still no headphone jack. Frankly, there aren’t any huge changes when it comes to the design. The only noticeable changes in the design are the camera, the camera placement, the new colors and gradients and the apple logo in the back.

iPhone 11

Other noticeable change that can have a lot of the fans cheering for the new 11’s is the price point. The phone is said to be retailed at only around $600 to $700.

Design of iPhone 11

The first thing any longtime apple user expects from the new iPhone 11 is the fresh and new design bumps. However, Apple has decided to go with the same design as the last year’s iPhone X.

The design and the measurements of this phone is very much similar to the last year’s iPhone X so much so that if both the phones were put side by side facing front. It would be very hard for a person to tell them apart.

This phone has a body ratio of 8.3 mm x 75.7 mm x 150 mm of thickness width and height respectively. It weighs around 194 grams.

It is waterproof and also water-resistant up to 30 minutes in about 2-meter deep in water.  The phone has an array of colors with standard Black and White colors and other unique colors such as Green, Purple and Yellow.

Display one iPhone 11

Apple has decided not to incorporate any LED or AMOLED displays yet again in the iPhone 11.

The phone still has an LCD display which has the pixel density at about 326 ppi. The aspect ratio is at about 19.5:9. One of the biggest changes that the Apple product consumers wanted to see was the notch-less display. But Apple, being one of the most stubborn company as it is, has decided not to ditch the notch, meaning this phone also has the big not on the top of the display for the front-facing cameras and the front speaker.

The screen size is said to be 6.1 inches and the screen resolution is 828 x 1792 pixels. The size covered by the screen in front of the phone is about 79.79%.

Apple has also decided to remove the functionality of the 3d touch on the screen as it did not seem that useful.

Cameras on iPhone 11

The major change that Apple has decided to add in the new iPhone 11 is for the rear camera.  The rear camera sports a two-camera lens setup enclose by a matted rounded square with a laser blaster and a torchlight.

The main camera sensor is an Exmor-RS CMOS. The main camera is a combo of a one standard F2.2 12 MP camera and another 12 MP ultra-wide-angle camera which is said to capture much wider shots with the aid of 120-degree lens. Both lenses have optical image stabilization and face detection auto-focus. The image resolutions produced from this camera is 4000 x x3000 pixels

The new camera has a new feature called to slofies, which are the slow-motion selfies. The front 12 MP true depth camera to take selfies that move.

Another cool feature in this iPhone is the dedicated Night Mode For shooting in the low lights.

Performance wise, the iPhone 11 cannot be considered a huge step up from the previous phone form the last year. It has the same chipset as the previous phone, that is the Apple A13 Bionic and the same iOS version, the v13.0. It has a 64-bit processor. The processor is the Hexa-core which is the mix of dual-core, Lightning and the Quad-core.

It has a 4 GB RAM which is not that impressive. The internal storage on this phone is 64/128/256 GB with no expandable memory.

It is capable to hold two SIM cards, the first is a nano-SIM and the second one is an eSIM. The 4G network is also made available on this phone.

The battery life on this phone is not that great, however it will get you through the day. It has a 3110 mAh Li-Ion battery. The package for the iPhone 11 comes with the standard charging bring and a wire that has a lighting port for the phone and a USB type-C that goes in the charging brick. The phone has also a wireless charging feature.

Apple has claimed that the charging on the iPhone 11 is faster. It has a quick charging that is capable of charging 50% battery in 30 minutes.

In conclusion, iPhone 11 is not a huge step up from the previous iPhone X and the XR. If you have a fully functioning iPhone X, there is absolutely no need to upgrade to the new iPhone.

iPhone 11 however, is cheaper than the X, XS and the XR, coming in at only $699.

Price in Nepal – Rs. 1,15,000 (64GB)

The reviews are really mixed for this iPhone, some saying that the 11 is just a copy paste of the X with only minor adjustment and on the other hand, some people are that the new iPhone 11 is the best phone yet considering it has all the feature of the iPhone X with a cheaper price tag.
